The irregular shaped jade well-carved with multiple planes, depicting a scholar and young attendant walking along a mountain path while being trailed by a small canine, all under a canopy of pine with a lakeside house and mountains in the distance, the stone laid down on a panel with Greek key fret borders within a beaded edge frame; the stand elaborately decorated with a frieze of kui dragons amongst scrolling vines, the aprons similarly decorated with archaistic motifs
