A Very Fine Imperial Style Blue and White Hexagonal Vase, Qianlong Six-Character Seal Mark, Late 19th Century
十九世紀 青花折枝花果纹六方瓶
Sturdily potted of hexagonal form, the baluster body with broad and angular shoulders, elegantly sloping up to a waisted neck and a flaring mouth, finely decorated in vivid tones of cobalt blue. The high shoulders painted with a fret-work border above a band of pendant tri-lobed lappets, below the tall tapered neck, decorated on each facet with further upright sprays bearing blossoms and the corner of each panel with a scrolling floral spray
height 27" — 68.5 cm.
