Charles “Teenie” Harris was an African American photographer who was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA. He is famed for his photo essays capturing the daily life of the city. He chronicled the lives in the black neighbourhoods for the “Pittsburgh Courier” which is one of the oldest black newspapers in the United States of America
